FAQ

Here are a selection of the questions we get asked all the time but if you can’t find the answer, you can also check out our The Rules page which gives you more information about what you can and can’t do.

  • What is involved in a Rally Company Tour? - Check out the  homepage to select your rally where you will see the route you’ll take, its duration and the total mileage you’ll travel. There will be a range of suggested routes during the rally but it’s up to you how you get from A to B each day. There will be a meeting each evening and an optional night out.
  • Are you a travel agent? - No. The Rally Company will give you suggested routes and an evening meeting venue – apart from that, you’re on your own.
  • Do you book accommodation? - No. We will give you a range of the best suggestions for each stopover location but it’s up to you to reserve and book your accommodation. Our reps often negotiate big discounts from our partner hotels and campsites which we will keep you informed of.
  • Do you give any discounts on the registration fee? - The Rally Company offers a 10% discount for any tour booked before the 1st December for the following year. We also offer a discount of 10% for those who have been on previous Rally Company tours or those who have at least 2 women in their team. All female teams will qualify for a 20% discount.
  • What happens if we breakdown? - Hope your phone has some battery
  • I like to drink too much, fight people and I’m generally ill mannered, am i welcome to come along? - Certainly not. Go and ruin someone else’s fun.
  • We have a vehicle that can fit more than 5 people, do you allow teams larger than 5? - As standard we only offer a maximum of 5 places within each team. If you have a requirement for more, contact us and let us know the plan – we’ll do what we can to cater for all requests.
  • Do I need to bring a banger? - If you are entering our Big City Tour then you will need a car that is at least 25 years old on the date of departure however if you are entering any other Rally Company event you can bring any vehicle. Remember that all of our tours require a team, a theme and some matching clobber to enter.
  • What else will I need to bring? - You’ll need to bring everything you would for any other trip. Passport, cash and a tent is a good start – everything else can be sorted along the way.
  • How much will it cost? - Check out our homepage and follow the links through to the tours available. Each route has information on likely costs, stop over destinations and prize money on offer. Add some beer money and you’re away…
  • Do we drive back together after the tour? - The Rally Company Tours finish in the published cities. If you want to scrap your car and fly back, arrange to drive back on your own (or in convoy) or even stay on at the finish for a holiday – It’s entirely up to you.
  • Do I have to pay up front when I book? - No. The Rally Company only require a deposit of £50 per team member to secure your place on any of our tours. The balance of the entry fee will be due 90 days before we leave.
  • What if I cancel, will I get my deposit back? - Yes, as long as you cancel no later than 90 days prior to departure. We will however deduct a £5 administration fee to cover costs for all cancellations.
